Creditinfo Georgia hosts knowledge exchange workshop with Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan

Creditinfo Georgia hosted delegates from Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan for a three day workshop on the 17th and 18th October in Tbilisi Georgia. The aim was to understand and share different working methods and approaches across the three credit bureaus of Creditinfo Georgia, Credit Information Bureau Ishenim, Kyrgyzstan, and Interbank Credit Bureau, Uzbekistan. Furthermore Creditinfo invited key delegates from their central support units in Creditinfo International to share experiences from elsewhere in the Creditinfo Group.
A warm welcome was provided by Alexander Gomiashvili, in the new Creditinfo office in Tbilisi which has just been occupied due to unprecedented growth in the company in recent years.

On the agenda was a wide range of subjects;

  • Shareholder structure
  • Legal environment
  • Operations and organisation
  • IT infrastructure
  • Credit Bureau Scoring
  • Client interaction and training

Each subject was met with intense discussions and the outcome was a broader knowledge for everyone, not only about credit bureau but about the cultural environments.

Hakon Stefansson, representative of Creditinfo International, “running credit bureaus can be a lonely task as often there is only one or two in each market.  Therefore we are constantly looking to exchange experiences amongst our credit bureau internally within Creditinfo.  When we have the opportunity to have such exchanges externally we strongly encourage this as they are always mutually beneficial.”
